Alyssa and Will celebrated their 2015 Outer Banks Wedding in Duck, N.C. at The Sanderling Resort on a gorgeous October day! The ceremony was held on the South beach of the resort with music from Jesse Taylor to set the mood. It was such a nice day for an outdoor wedding and everyone soaked it up as they waited for Alyssa and Will. Uncle Matt officiated the wedding and pronounced Will and Alyssa as the new Mr. & Mrs. Will Pippen. After the ceremony Ryan and Haley with Coastal Shots Photography took the wedding party and bride & groom for pictures. Sunset photos were a highlight of this day as it was beautiful overlooking the sound side of the Pavilion. How perfect can a night get for two people getting married in the Outer Banks!
The guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks during cocktail hour along with great acoustical music from Jesse Taylor. It was time for Introductions and we sat all guests at their table and lined up the wedding party just outside the main doors! We brought in the wedding party to “Levels” by Avicii. Alyssa and Will chose “Better Together” by Jack Johnson for their grand entrance. For the very first dance we played “I don’t want to miss a thing” by Aerosmith. Following the first dance Alyssa and her father shared a dance to “Jersey Girl” by Bruce Springsteen. Will and his mother had a dance to “Have I told you lately” by Rod Stewart. After all the special dances Alyssa’s father Bob gave a welcome and toast as everyone sat for dinner.
After sunset photos we all gathered for the traditional toasts that were given by one matron of honor, and two best men. The bride told me before the toasts that she was ready to start dancing, so I could feel that this was going to be one of those amazing nights. We still had to do the cake cutting so, Carolina Cupcakery brought in an awesome cake and cupcakes for Alyssa and Will and all the guests. We played a couple of songs and then went into the first dance set and prepared for one heck of a party. These guys danced and “Sang”and didn’t stop all night. We played everything from Bruce Springsteen to Pitbull. The last dance of the night was “The night is still young” by Nicki Minaj. What a great time I had being your OBX DJ.
