Meghann and Paul had their Carova Wedding at The Mark Twain event home on Friday September 9, 2016. This had to be one of the most fun events so far this season. This is DJ George giving the highlights of this incredible event.

As guests arrived for the ceremony we played a few Vitamin String Quartet songs while everyone was seated. Meghann chose “Look At Me” by Carrie Underwood for her processional. Gena Martin with Platinum Party Planning made sure the timing of the ceremony was perfect. Scott Williams with Repeat After Me OBX took the reigns and lead the ceremony to have Meghann and Paul pronounced as the new Mr. & Mrs. Paul Smith. The ceremony concluded and we played “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” for the recessional.

Cocktail hour took place poolside as the wedding party was taken for pictures by Ryan & Rach Photography. I played a mixture of soft contemporary rock, oldies, and modern country as guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks provided by Currituck BBQ.

For the introductions the wedding party had their own song to enter into the reception room. Meghann and Paul were announced to “Hold My Hand” by Hootie and The Blowfish followed by a first dance to “From The Ground Up” by Dan + Shay. Meghann and her father had their dance to “Daddy Dance with me” by Krystal Keith. The Mother/Son dance was a special mix of “My Wish” by The Rascal Flatts into “Humble and Kind” by Tim McGraw.

The dance party was absolutely off the hook as we rocked a ton of great classic rock, 80’s, and 90’s hip hop, along with a mix of today’s best Top 40. Everyone loved the music from the playlist created by Meghann and Paul. We ended the night with the last dance to “Turn Down For What” by DJ Snake & Lil’ Jon and then played one last song by special request for Meghann’s Mother, “The Dance” by Garth Brooks. Such a fun wedding. Congratulations to Meghann and Paul Smith III.
