Catherine and Matthew’s Wedding took place at The Sanderling Resort in Duck, N.C. on October 1, 2016. The Ocean made for a beautiful backdrop for their beach ceremony. This is DJ George giving you a few highlights of their special day!

Family and friends gathered on the North beach to witness Catherine and Matthew’s ceremony. We played a few intimate classics to set the mood while Catherine processed to a gentle piano version of “Here comes the Bride” by Wagoner. Rev. Jay Bowman officiated and had everyone cheering! The ceremony decor and arbor was provided by I DO OBX Chairs. The recessional was to “The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” by Handel.

Cocktail hour took place on the great lawn with a mix of Classic Rock, Contemporary Pop, and today’s new Country as Brooke Mayo Photographers took the wedding party for photos. Once the cocktail hour ended we all moved over to the Pavilion for Introductions. We loved the detail and style and the purple and grey colors of the reception room decorated by Bells and Whistles.

Introductions took place to “Happy” by Pharrell Williams while Catherine and Matthew were brought in on a boat sound side and entered to “Pirates of the Caribbean” theme song. The Sanderling provided a great dinner and we had a few heart felt toasts by the maid of honor and even played “Darth Vader’s” theme song for the best man’s intro. For the first dance we played “Die a happy man” by Thomas Rhett. Catherine and her father danced to “Humble and Kind” by Tim McGraw. Matthew and his Mother shared a dance to “My Wish” by The Rascal Flatts.

The dance party was a ton of fun. We rocked all kinds of music ranging Motown, 60’s Rock, 80’s and 90’s dance, Country, and new Top 40. Guests also enjoyed a yummy cake from Just Desserts and slushies provided by OBX Sunset Slush Company featuring flavored Italian ices & alcoholic splash drinks. As we approached the end of the night we had multiple requests for “Shout” by The Isley Brothers and ended the night with a confetti pop. The last dance was “American Pie” by Don McLean. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Fosina. Thanks for choosing Coastal DJ & Video as the entertainment for your wedding.
