The Wilmington office of Coastal DJ and Video has expanded to include the Wilmington area beach communities including Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, and Kure Beach. The Historic Site at Fort Fisher in Kure Beach is an amazing location for an outdoor wedding. This is DJ Karl with the rundown for the latest Wilmington area ceremony and reception.

On Saturday October 4th, families and friends of Clinton Donald and Lauren Avery gathered by the rocks at Fort Fisher National Historic Site to witness their wedding ceremony. The serenity and beauty of the scene exceeds the capacity of words or photos to express fully–it was truly magnificent.

Guests were greeted with instrumentals from the bride’s favorite Disney movies, and a Cello Duet performed the Wedding March for Lauren’s entrance. The vows were sweet and genuine, and soon everyone was cheering for Mr. and Mrs. Donald once they were announced. Guests enjoyed the sunshine while the photographers worked their magic with the wedding party.

The wedding reception could not have been in a more unique location. The North Carolina Aquarium hosted the festivities, and the Cape Fear Shoals exhibit was the backdrop for the main event. The guests welcomed the wedding party as they were introduced with grand fanfare. The Bride’s parents welcomed everyone, and there were toasts from both sides of the head table before dinner began.
After dinner the Bride and Groom shared their First Dance to “Everything,” by Michael Bublé. Lauren danced with her father for the traditional Bride and Father Dance, and Clinton and his mother shared a moment with the Groom and Mother Dance. The bride’s brother sang “L.O.V.E.,” by Nat King Cole before the cake cutting- it was a fantastic live rendition of a classic tune.

The Bride and her bridesmaids got the dance floor warmed up with the “wop” by J dash and Flo- Rida and then invited everyone to join in. The young people were most enthusiastic about the dancing portion of the party, but all ages were out to enjoy the music. The reception really went by way too fast once it began. Nonetheless, this is one event all the guests and family will never forget. Congratulations once more to the newlyweds, one more round of applause for Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Donald!
