Katie Gaitens and Chris Taylor were married on Friday afternoon, October 11, 2013 in Duck, N.C. at the West Ridge event home. Lots of love and support came with family and friends as Katie and Chris prepared for the ceremony that took place mid-afternoon. This is George Wainwright here to fill you in on an amazing night of celebration between the new Mr. and Mrs. Chris Taylor.

Although the weather was a little challenging, an incredible ceremony still took place as scheduled out by the water on the Outer Banks sound. This was a very unique ceremony in the fact that the groom’s father officiated the wedding itself. Mr. Taylor did a great job and seemed to know exactly how to make everyone laugh and cheer as vows were exchanged between Katie and Chris.

After the exchange of the vows, everyone moved inside the tent that was set up behind the event home for cocktail hour. Red Sky Café began passing out appetizers as the wedding party were taken for pictures. We would like to say thank you to Ryan Diegelmann from Coastal Shots Photography for the awesome photos as always. Great Job!

After cocktail hour we began lining up the wedding party for introductions. To Have and To Hold OBX was there to make sure all aspects of this wedding ran smoothly and this credit all goes to Brenda Zeigler and Hayley Huggins for keeping the order and times on track. Thank you guys!

The crowd went wild when Katie and Chris made their way into the tent. The first dance took place and everyone enjoyed being a part of the energy and happiness from a couple that were truly in love and married at last. All the traditional dances and toasts were given while the dinner was being served by Red Sky Café.

After dinner it was Party Time! There was a mix of guests from New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia that absolutely rocked this reception from beginning to end. There had been an original stop time of 9:00 p.m. for the reception but this party got extended for 2 extra hours because everyone could not stop dancing and singing.

For an Outer Banks Wedding DJ, I had the most fun playing music for great people that seemed to appreciate all the songs that Katie and Chris had chosen and more! We rocked for 8 straight hours non-stop until we all just couldn’t dance another step. This wedding will be remembered for a lifetime and we want to especially thank all those that made this event a success for Mr. and Mrs. Chris Taylor.

Congratulations again guys, we loved the day and will cherish the time spent with you on your wedding day!
