Sarah and Tae had a beautiful wedding on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and we were lucky to have them as a client. They decided to mix their family’s traditions by incorporating many elements of Tae’s Korean heritage and Sarah’s American heritage into their wedding. From Korean translations in their ceremony programs for limited speakers to the pastor being from Tae’s parents’ church, their ceremony at Nag’s Head Beach was definitely a perfect blending of the couple’s diverse heritage.

It continued throughout the reception at 108 Budleigh in Manteo, where Sarah changed into traditional Korean garb for much of the evening. The dress is called a “hanbok,” and Sarah looked just as beautiful in it as her wedding dress. The families did a traditional Korean bowing and welcoming ceremony that was very moving.

Nannette Kallestad of The Proper Setting, LLC, did a fantastic job with the planning and execution of blending the two cultures. All in attendance were thoroughly impressed by everything at the reception, from the traditions to the fun while Sarah and Tae danced the night away with their guests.
Congratulations to Sarah and Tae, and we hope the dates came out like you wanted!
