While having some of the most beautiful greens in eastern Carolina, Patrick and Chantel had a great ceremony & reception on 1/1/2011 New Years Day at Lane Tree Golf course in Goldsboro, N.C. This was an excellent choice for this couple to tie the knot with a nice ballroom overlooking a gorgeous golf course.
The day started in the afternoon with a few photos outside on the golf course with Melody Kristensen from Aria Images Photography which I might add was a pleasure to work with. Melody led the way with having Patrick and Chantel, the wedding party, and all of the families at ease the entire time and managed to get some great photos. After the photos everyone gathered in the ballroom. The ceremony room and reception side were both dressed up with our specialty lighting. Our Wilmington DJ Team had 8 color wash lights and a monogrammed NAME IN LIGHTS that read Patrick B Chantel. Music started and the doors to the ballroom opened and in came all of the guests and family for the start of the ceremony. This match made in heaven joined for the very first time and were finally married. I got the cocktail music going while Jeff club manager from Lane Tree helped coordinate the line-up of the wedding party. Jeff has got to be one of the best to work along side of in this industry. We brought the wedding party into the room to R. Kelly’s “Step in the name of love” the house lit up and the place went crazy over these two moving happily into the room. From this moment, we began all three first dances because we knew everyone was eager to eat and dance. They danced to Brian McKnight’s “Love of my Life” then Chantel danced with her father to Beyonce “Daddy’s Girl” and finally Patrick danced with his mother to Boyz II Men “Mama”. As soon as they were finished I went ahead and had the head table move towards to salad bar and then had the rest of the wedding party follow so that we could get all the guests and family served. Lane Tree did an excellent job of preparing the food that included Steak, Baked Potatoes, and vegetables. It was awesome!
As everyone got their fill we got ready for the cake cutting that was done with James Ingram’s “One in a Million” in the background moving to a toast from one of Patrick’s all time best of friends. Once the best man gave his toast the mothers of the bride/groom gave there words of encouragement then it was finally time for me to open up the dance floor. We began with the Electric Slide and then popped off the “Wobble” by VIC and continued to play all the top dance requests for Patrick and Chantel. There then came a unique event called the Newlywed Shoe game that had everyone in hysterics. I had to MC these twelve questions about who would be the first to do certain things before the other such as Who would be the first to make up after a fight? Or who said “I Love You first”? The couple had to raise either their shoe or their partners show indicating who would be the first to fall.
This was a really exciting event to be a part of and I felt a real sense of warmth from Patrick and Chantel as we closed out their New Years Day party. I will be eager to see some of the photos taken to bring back great memories of two people I truly enjoyed being with on their wedding day. Patrick and Chantel, you will always have a place in my heart. God Bless you both and thank you so much for letting us be a part of your special day. This was a great New Years experience and an amazing cast we were a part of at Lane Tree Golf Course. Thanks to all! Congratulations to the New Mr. & Mrs. Patrick Best
Mr. George Wainwright from Coastal DJ & Video played a very important role in making the vision we had for our wedding a reality. At our initial meeting, he went above and beyond to accomodate our needs. Following our meeting, he made himself easily accessible to us via emaill and telephone. His attention to detail resulted in our beautiful monogram. As you can see from the picture, the monogram and the color wash lighting was beautiful.
The day of our wedding, Mr. Wainwright arrived early to ensure that the ceremony site and ballroom would be lit to perfection. As our DJ, Mr. Wainwright played the songs that we personally selected and inserted some of his own choices at the appropriate times. He continued to be attentive to our needs throughout the night, and remained with us until the very end our of reception. In fact, he was one of the last people to leave the venue. We would recommend him to anyone! We will always appreciate his customer service and his genuine desire to make our day as joyous as possible.
Thanks for everything George!! We look forward to working with you in the future!
