The Aquarium in Manteo was host to another amazing wedding event on Friday, June 27th. Craig Ralston and Sarah Dinda became Mr. and Mrs. Ralston in a serene ceremony on the Roanoke sound with friends and family as witnesses. DJ Karl was there representing Coastal DJ and Video to provide the right acoustic accompaniment to enhance the effect of these precious moments for this young couple.
After the vows were exchanged out on the water, everyone applauded for the newlyweds, and then came inside for cocktail hour by the shark tank. The newlyweds and their entourage were introduced with enthusiasm and fanfare to the tune of Rancid, “Stand Your Ground,” as requested. The first dance was accompanied by an acoustic soloist with an original song that truly fit the moment. After the welcome and blessing, everyone sat down to eat next to the shark tank exhibit to enjoy dinner.
After the toasts, everyone headed toward the dance floor for the traditional dances. The Groom and mother dance was first, a sweet song by Green Day called “Time of Your Life.” Then the Bride began to dance with her father, and a minute and a half into Heartland’s “I Loved Her First” the music came to a screeching halt.
Then, it was clear something was amiss, as dance music began suddenly pouring from the speakers, and Sarah’s two brothers were instantly on the dance floor with her and her father, dancing an apparently professionally choreographed skit to a mash-up of music to the amazement and amusement of all in attendance. It was over about as suddenly as it started and Sarah finished the dance with her Father to Heartland as if nothing had happened. It was a very well planned and executed event that set the stage for a very fun dance party!
The guests enjoyed the playlist hand selected by Sarah and Craig with a sprinkle of requests from their guests. This was a very spirited group that definitely never ran out of energy during the dance party. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Ralston and best of luck to you both. Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us!
