Kailtyn and Lucas Humphries were happily married at the Absolute Elegance House in Corolla, N.C. on Friday May 18, 2012, with plenty of support on their big day. Family and friends came to show their love for the newlyweds as they tied the knot on the beautiful Corolla shore with their toes in the sand.

Rev. Scott Williams delivered a great ceremony while Kailtyn and Lucas exchanged their vows in front of guests, family, and friends. As always, Club Violin did a fantastic job with the ceremony music and provided the perfect atmosphere for a nice beach wedding.

A Great Celebration

To start the reception festivities, we lined up the wedding party inside the house and brought everyone into the tent for introductions to “Crazy in Love” by Beyonce. Immediately afterward we rolled right into the bride and grooms first dance to “My best friend” by Tim McGraw. Lucas got a quick break from the dance floor after his 4 minutes with his new wife and out comes the father of the bride, Mr. Powers, to take his beautiful daughter into a dance to Kenny Chesney’s “There goes my life”. Finally the Mother/Son dance took place to Aaron Lines “Twenty Years Late”.

Traditional toasts were given after the first dances by the maid of honor who is also the bride’s sister, then the Best man speech was given by the brother of the groom. How cool is that? Great toasts guys! The bride and groom helped themselves to the food along with the wedding party and families. After dinner I kicked off open dance time and played maybe 3 songs before we went straight into the cake cutting. As soon as everyone had cake it was non-stop dancing for the rest of the night. There were lots of great people at this wedding that made it very fun to be a part of this wonderful day.

Special Thanks

We would like to thank a few people that were involved from start to finish on this wedding. First, we should thank The Embellishers that decorated the inside of the tent which was provided by Ocean Atlantic Rentals. Another great professional on the Outer Banks is Rich Coleman with Coleman shots. Rich is always really fun to work with and does an excellent job with the photos and working with his clients and fellow vendors! As far as food and catering in concerned, Kelly’s hands down does a wonderful job each and every time. Coastal DJ & Video put together the Outer Banks wedding music that was customized by the bride herself, great job Kaitlyn! George Wainwright handled the MC’ing along with the Outer Banks reception music that led to a fun filled night of dancing.

We would also like to give thanks to the bride and groom for having us provide the entertainment and a HUGE thanks to the parents who were really fun to be around. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Lucas Humphries as they are now husband and wife and thank you for letting us be a part of your special day! Best wishes from Coastal DJ & Video.
