For starters, the day could not have been more gorgeous than this past Saturday in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Kristen and Ryan were blessed to have the sun shining in their favor and the temperature just right for a mid-April wedding.

Introductions

The ceremony took place out on the beach in front of the Hilton Garden Inn in Kitty Hawk, N.C. Kristen and Ryan exchanged vows then moved to having a few photos taken with the rest of the wedding party while guests gathered inside the pier house for cocktail hour. Once the guests had moved inside and had about an hour to enjoy some great food and drinks, I headed out to the front of the pier house to line up the wedding party for intros. We brought the entire wedding party in to LMFAO “Party Rock Anthem” which of course lit the room up and got everyone pumped as the bride and groom made their grand entrance for the first time.

Precious Memories

Kristen and Ryan went into their first dance to Lady Antebellum “When you got a good thing” then shared a father/daughter, mother/son dance to “My wish” by the Rascal Flatts. Keith Hartman who was a close friend of the family gave an incredible blessing of the food.  We then called tables up to the buffet by Mile Post Numbers which I thought was really cool being that this was a true beach wedding! Mile post tables were called in 2’s until we reached # 10. Everyone enjoyed the food as always, prepared by the Hilton staff.

We got things picked back up with some incredible toasts, first given by the father of the bride Mr. Steve Pollard. I have to say that his toast to Kristen and Ryan almost had me in tears. In fact, he did have me in tears….I just couldn’t let everyone see their DJ cry. Wow! Best man Will Harland and maid of honor Caroline Ayscue prepared a toast together that was very nicely done. We then moved over to the cake table where we played Colby Caillat “I do” then James Taylor “How sweet it is”, one of your Outer Banks wedding DJ favorites.

Party Time!

Open dance time was the most fun part of this reception where we played all the best oldies and new school hits ranging from KC & The Sunshine Band to The Righteous Brothers, Journey, Eric Clapton, Garth Brooks, on into Flo-Rida, Jennifer Lopez, and finally Lionel Ritchie’s “Endless Love”. I truly enjoyed being a part of Kristen and Ryan’s wedding and wish nothing but the best for them in their journey through life.

Thank you for the time spent at your reception.
