Brian and Wendy were married at the Currituck Club on June 30, 2011 on a beautiful sunshiny day. You can’t ask for a more perfect location to get married than the Currituck Club if you want your Outer Banks wedding at one of the nicest clubsaround the Outer Banks of N.C. The Currituck club overlooks a gorgeous 18 hole golf course with miles of beautiful beaches in sight and sits right between the ocean and the sound.
When the sun goes down “says Kenny Chesney” you’ll be in absolute heaven on your wedding day with a backdrop that is merely priceless. With an awesome view, great food, and first class service from the staff at the Currituck club this wedding was nothing less than perfect for Brian and Wendy!
Introductions came first for Brian and Wendy to all of their family, friends, and guests that gathered outside under the tent. Lots of love and support was brought to the Newly Weds as they joined together for their very first time as husband and wife. We brought Brian and Wendy in to “I gotta feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas that was a special request. The food & catering was incredible as always and provided by the Currituck staff. I thought this was the biggest and best gift other than great entertainment for this deserving couple. Wow! What awesome food.
Special Songs For A Special Couple
After having an incredible meal we directed everyone inside the Currituck club for toasts. Adam Sondej, was the first to toast to his brother Brian and now sister in law Wendy. After toasts DJ George Wainwright made the announcement that it was time for the first dances. I created a special mix of wedding songs they had requested. I had about 5 or 6 songs that Brian and Wendy wanted me to play in a mix because they couldn’t quite decide on having just one song for their first dance. So we compiled a good mix of a few older and newer country songs that flowed nicely together and away we went.
After just a couple of minutes the parents joined in with Brian and Wendy to bring more love to the dance floor and of course making that first dance extra-extra special.
- Father/Daughter Dance – Tony Bennett “The way you look tonight” one of my favorites at a wedding.
- Mother/Son Dance – “What a wonderful world” by Louis Armstrong
- Last Dance – Michael Buble’ “Save the last dance for me” This was a hit as always to make for memories as did the entire night for Wendy and Brian.
I have to give kudos to Rich Coleman with Coleman Shots as doing a supper job with the photography. Rich was a big help in making sure all of the first dances and traditional events were captured perfectly (nice job) and also helped coordinate things during the reception to make everything flow smoothly.
Now For Some Fun!
Open dance time came now! My time to rock the house and do what it is I do for people that want to boogie and not have a lag in the best hours of their reception. They needed the best wedding music on the Outer Banks! We made sure the dancing part of the night kept its flow until it was time to slow it down for the last dance. What a great time at the Currituck Club celebrating the marriage of the New Mr. and Mrs. Brian Sondej.
We want to thank our bride and groom for letting us be a part of their special day and the honor of helping with the entertainment. We will always remember a fabulous day with our new friends. Thank you from your trusted Outer Banks Djs.
