March 23, 2013 was a fabulous day for Lara Coley and Ben Bridgers as they tied the knot. They received everything they could have possibly dreamed of at one of the finest venues in Eastern NC, Rock Springs Center/The Jockey Club. Not only is Rock Springs known for its incredible atmosphere, beautiful marble floors and high ceilings, the décor is top notch as well. Bobby Gaumont–Lavin from the Gala Company deserves top recognition for adding a special touch with her custom floral arrangements. Amazing job again Bobby!

The ceremony began at 5:30 in the evening; Pastor David West delivered the vows in the main room with family and friends gathered. After the vows were exchanged the couple made their way to a private area of the club to refresh, then kicked off the night with the first dance of the evening, “Marry Me” by Train. Immediately following, Lara danced with her dad to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw; Ben danced with his mother to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts.

Rock Springs always does an incredible job catering and making sure things flow well; this was no exception. Taking on the new style of stations at weddings, all the food was hot, fresh, and guests were thoroughly satisfied. Planner Julie Ackerley deserves thanks, as she helped tremendously throughout the night to ensure punctuality.

Family and friends enjoyed dancing and celebrating as we played a few traditional hits to get the party started. There was some good ol’ Carolina beach music played, along with some current hits. Justin Timberlake and Jay Z’s “Suit & Tie” and Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop” were our most requested songs of the evening…and we always break out the new jams by the end of the night. All in all it was a very fun wedding!

As the DJ/MC I would also like to give a special shout out to Ryan Diegelmann from Coastal Shots and OBX Photo Booths for providing an excellent service with not only a few photos and video, but an incredibly fun Photo Booth that the guests absolutely loved. It’s always fun to watch people dress up in funny costumes and have their picture taken and be able to take home something to remember the good time. Congratulations to Lara and Ben Bridgers!
